Click here for the web description. But if you really want to know about this ultra-cool pedal, read the manual.

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

Hmm...Would it be safe to plug the SFX-03 into a multieffects board? (namely a Korg AX1500g)

The manual says the nominal output is 400-500mV, so it'd seem like it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm not an expert. :D

I'm thinking it would help add some warmth and "tube-ness" to my currently SS rig. :laugh2: (Or would it be better in my situation to put the money towards a nice tube amp?)

Ha ha, I just read the SFX-03 Manual and it's good to see humour being used in the instructions.

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

Hey Evan, what are the dimensions of the pedal?
About the same size of the Fulldrive II ???

Terry, The prototype I tried was pretty lart to be honest (larger than the FDII by a good little bit) but Evan told me that the production unit is a little smaller...even if it is smaller it shoujdl be larger than the FDII...it's no use ALL the pedals on your board are HUGE!:smack:

Anyway, do you guys think I should try one of these? Or put it towards a good tube amp? Maybe I'll start another thread for that..

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

Dimensions are 7.5" x 6.62" x 1.96."

You should be able to pick them up for around $210 in the USA. The whole concept of our pedals is "boutique quality and design at impulse-buy prices."

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

That's true. If they weren't made in China, they'd be in the $400 price range. That's just the way it works.

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

I like what Muzicbusiness.com had to say about the SFX-03:

PRE-ORDER NOW!!! Seymour Duncan SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic Overdrive and Distortion Pedal
We heard 'em at the NAMM the show, and were floored. Seymour Duncan really hit the nail on the head with the third entry into their effects line up. Two tubes, two channels and twice the tone. The SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic gives you two packed channels of wickedly rich and reactive harmonics. Channel A: Pure classic tube overdrive. Channel B: Crisp and crunchy distortion served rock and roll style. No compromises, no corners cut. Both channels sound great. Look, we heard a lot of boutique pedals at NAMM, but the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic really stood out among the competition. We expect it to become a classic. No joke. We're taking orders now. The second we get 'em, we'll be sold out.

Not to blow smoke up anyone's skirt, but the first shipment of these will not sit on shelves very long. If you're really interested in getting one, I'd suggest pre-ordering it.

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

i'll have to wait till they're available in europe.. not cos of shipping and all that hassle, but cos of the wall plug/transformer hehe

Re: New Duncan Pedal SFX-03

Evan, Is the pedal goin to be in European stores on the 1st of march too or will we have to wait a little longer?
