“New” Gibson T Type pickups - any thoughts?

The best thing about Gibson pickups is they're typically easy to sell for at least the cost of a good aftermarket replacement. Pickups should be the least of your worries with a Gibson.

Can somebody remind me what year Les Pauls got their first T-Tops?

they stopped making LPs in early 1961 i think.
They came with t-tops when they where reintroduced (1968)

Actually, the first reissues were P-90. I believe the Custom model only had Ts, though.

Yep. Then he has used the Schaller Golden 50, which has nothing to do with HB's from the late fifties, since it's technically a T-Top clone...

... and Solo Dallas and Throbak sell expensive clones of T-Top's thanks to Angus Young... Oh well.

For those who would want a cheaper repro of these pickups, at least, I've shared an idea above. Manlius clones are also known as good replicas for a decent price, FWIW.

Nominally t tops started in 67, when the PAF bobbin die was finally replaced. But the other (tonally significant) specs came together in 65.
