Fender 60th Anniversary 1975 Telecaster (Telebration series)
This guy just showed up today! Snagged it on an amazing deal from MF - It's used + sale discounts and coupons. This is my first time buying used from MF. Overall the guitar is in excellent condition. Not sure why someone returned it. However, I did discover that the high-e tuner peg is bent. Still fully functional, but you can feel it wobble a bit and see the angle if you catch the right angle looking right at the headstock. I restrung it with 10's and I'm going to wait till tomorrow to do any more setup just to let it acclimate for 24 hours. Plays pretty good, but needs a few tweaks to get it where I like. I'll probably raise the action a bit and probably get the bridge pickup nice and high so that it's hotter.
This one is part of the Tele-bration series Fender did to mark the 60th anniversary of the Telecaster. It's inspired by the 1975 Jazz Bass with the natural ash finish and the black block inlays. Even has Jazz Bass knobs! Some people think these are ugly, but I think it's just super cool! I have wanted a Tele Custom for some time now and I love that this one is unique and set apart from the '72 reissues.
