New guitar day!

Re: New guitar day!

Thanks! I found that I like the look of the Plain top over some of those super flamed tops. They look great, but it's almost too much going on for me

Plain tops are great, I love my honey burst Traditional Pro

Re: New guitar day!

Spectacular! After posting my LPJ a couple of days ago, I have a bag case of guitar envy!
I saw your post! I was glad to hear you love how it felt and plays, that's all. The matters! Looks are just extras

Re: New guitar day!

Great! Has the 60s neck. (cant deal with a fat neck), is heavy, but sustains great! Came with 57 classic in the neck and BB3 and push pull pots to split the coils. (I have a WLH set in it now tho!) mine is Wine red. I wanted a black one.. But when I played all of them I could, the wine red one stood out. really played and sustained better than the rest... As ALLBUTROMEO stated, looks like they have tried to add 1 new feature with each model..

not great pics, but here she is: I removed the pickguard too

Re: New guitar day!

Aceman approves HIGHLY!!!!!!

Huge fan of the plain top. That is one sweet @$$ effing ride! Very classy, low color, nice fade, zebras. Dat GLOSS!!!!

And I also HIGHLY applaud your "eff you b!tches - I paid a couple+ grand for this, it had better be perfect" send it back attitude.

The force is strong with this one…..

Thanks man! The Plain top really stuck out to me, but it played and sounded good, and that's what counts!

At least the company I sent it back too completely understood, no issues. But I refuse to pay over 2 grand for a guitar, brand new, and have it not be near perfect. So they can have it back!

Re: New guitar day!

Nice score, indeed.

But, just out of curiosity, when did a set of strings and a setup stop being par for the course with a new guitar purchase, so that the customer percieves it as added value? Or is this only at GC?

Seriously, I can´t remember ever selling a guitar withoutout a free setup and set of strings.... have I really gotten that old already? :eek13:

I don't know when it went out of style, but I was very happy they did it for me. Maybe it is just guitar center (I usually don't buy guitars from other stores around here). So it could possible be just the company, but that's beyond me.
