New Guitar Day

Very clean and low hours 2007 Studio, I believe this is a vintage mahogany called "worn brown?" It looks to me like it has a mahogany top.
'59 or 60's slim taper neck shape.

I installed straploks, yanked the pickguard , ordered gotoh chrome keystone tuners for it.

I love the swirls in the grain. It's kind of unique. I saw it had Duncan's in it, but when I asked, the guy didn't know what models they were.... In my head, any SD would be better than the BB-Pro pups that Gibson used in these.
Turns out they are Jazz Neck and Pearly Gates bridge. Not really metal.... But also don't sound bad for metal.... PG is a beautiful pickup.

This one doesn't have much wear on it at all. It's minty minus a couple very small dents.

Yes - those are indeed all Mahogany.

When growing up, there was a Les Paul in a smooth satin brown finish in my music store, I always really liked it. Never knew what it was. But I have always jonesed for a The Paul in Walnut, which I now have. However, in between, I looked at some of those hard....

Crazy suggestion: Swap pickup positions. Put the PG in the neck, and the Jazz in the bridge and tune to like D or C# or whatever tuning you rock.

That does sound crazy!

Its a rare day when I ever switch to the neck position ha ha. Now that I have an LP with a P90 neck that might be fun.

If you want these pickups or even the whole guitar, just lemme know bro! You got my number.

This just became my #3 LP since I got the other BFG last week.
