Big thanks to Rob for this one It just arrived about 20 minutes ago (a first for me, I get to try stuff before going to work, haha) and did so in great condition. Super cool, neckthrough, custom shop version. Haven't had a chance to roll up the tape, fire up the rig and step on the wah yet though

Awesome looking guitar my friend! While I'm in the camp that thinks Kirk (and Metallica) has done nothing of any note in about 20 years, that guitar still looks incredible. With the EMGs it'll SOUND great too. And 24 frets can't be beat!
Have fun, and don't be wasting time playing along to St. Anger when you get in from work - have a few beers and fire up "Jump In the Fire" and "Seek and Destroy" like I did earlier to test out my new Blackouts.

Hehehe, yeah Fight Fire is a good one, as is the title track for that album. Man what a band they were back in the 80's. Brilliant stuff.

Yeah, but that was too obvious. Of course you could play some MOP stuff with it too, even though James did all the rhythm guitar tracks..

Sweeeeeeeeet! I gotta admit that's one of my lifetime dreams... to have something Metallica in my gear collection. Man I love Metallica.

Same reason why I've had a horseshoe moustache for so long!

That's one no-bull all-balls guitar right there.
And yeah, the non-heel can't be beat IMO.
If only it didn't have those annoying pickups. Man, no matter how many times I've tried them, no matter in how many guitars and through how many rigs they sound like the same old crap. Thankfully that's an easy enough fix though

Oh, and BTW, I like all those afore mentioned tracks but for whatever reasons I like the tonal variety of Fade to Black, especially that last melody before the closing...

Yeah, the Justice album is actually my favourite. I love it, it holds some good memories for me, and, despite the poor production, it's pretty much my ideal metal album.

How can anyone keep And Justice For All on higher regard than Master of Puppets is beyond me.

Thicker sound overall, songs that are not longer than what they actually deliver, brutal bass... I just don't get it!

Anyway, I want that guitar.
