New humbuckers have low volume???

Hi guys!

Well, as you can see I have a bit of a problem here. I'm working on setting my guitar (LTD EC-50) up with some new Duncan pickups, but the problem is - I can't hear them good!
I was soldering and connecting everything according to the diagrams from the official page of SD but yet I can't get a normal sound from them. Could it be that it's due poor and unclear soldering connections or is the problem a bit more serious?

P.S. - I was installing SH-2n on the neck and an SH-16 (59/Custom Hybrid) on the bridge. The bridge was a bit louder when I re-soldered it but still, I don't know if it's the best it could go

Re: New humbuckers have low volume???

Is it possible for you to post pics of your soldering, and post the wiring diagram that you followed?

From the info that you've given us, it's really not possible to tell what's wrong. My first suspicion is your soldering job, given that you say you followed the SD wiring diagram.

Do you have the pick ups adjusted to about 1/8" or so from the strings?

It looks like there was a cold solder joint on the neck potentiometer, now as I resoldered it it plays just fine! Thanks for your replies guys! :)
