1. i would not like random
2. relicing is not my thing
3. small differences are cool if its haind painted or hand made etc (kinda like zvex), but small differences in factory line stuff juts look like mistakes.
Lastly....i like the plain machined aluminium finish a lot, i also like the idea of an anodized casing.

Hey Frank, I'm pretty much in line with everyone else here that prefers to know what I'm getting and if any relicing or customizing is gonna happen, it's gonna be by my hand (or foot).
With that in mind, the design really lends to an optional, injection molded cover that could be available in any number of colors or in matte clear...so the owner could do any kind of absurd type of decorating to it without altering the appearance of the actual pedal. Plus it would add extra protection. If it was designed as a universal fit to all your pedals (or at least most of them) a guy could come up with his own color scheme. I know I rely on the color of the pedals to indicate what I'm stepping on more than I do placement.
