Numbers. Easier to compare. This goes for output as well. (I know there's no real way to measure that, but anything's better than those silly bars you use for output. F*cking confusing)

I reckon numbers, I like the way dimarzio use their output values in MV that way you get a pretty good idea of what your getting.
The bars are confusing I view them more as a comparsion to other pickups rather than what the actual output of the pickup is.

Both.
Bars are good for guys like me who don't understand values, but can make subjective comparisons by comparing a pickup they know to the chart of one that's similar.

Evan how about a numbered grid, able to display the bars for those that are visual oriented and it still meets the numbers for those that want a precise definition. One step further how about numbers with a 1/10th decimal point. There are pickups listed as a 5 when they compare with another 5, one would be more apt to be a 5.6 instead of a 5 or 6.

both, but i'd also like to see (if possible) :
the chance to press a "compare with" button, which lets you view two pickups side by side.
sometimes when two hb's are far apart on the tone chart a visual doesnt really help compare.. having them side by side would.
also, i think you should list pickups in "output order" that would help also

I rekon numbers still make it easy to compare two pickups, because you dont have to see the charts side by side and they have actual values.

If it has to be one or the other, I prefer bars. But, I don't see why you can't have both.
To be perfectly honest, when I want to look at Duncan specs, I go to Guitar Electronics.
They present the info way better than you guys do. (Sorry.) :sigh:

i voted bars because the use of numbers implies a level of accuracy and precision that is non existant ... this is all so highly subjective and subject to SO many external factors, the bars indicate a general impression of relative comparison .. keep the bars!
