Next came painting, after using woodgrain filler and lots of sanding in-between every two sanding sealer coats (total of about 6).
I first painted it a lime/pea green burst, but my wife hated it. She said it reminded her of pea soup and made her want to puke (she loves pea soup, just not the color).
She was so intense about this that I figured I'd better try to make her happier. So I stripped it again and started over. She wanted dark green, so I did what I could to please her. I got it darker than she wanted, but it was what I wanted, so I figure this was a good compromize from the lime/pea green.
Then I also drilled for the studs for the two point trem.
