NGD - 10s anyone? GF Aged Silverburst

Really dug this model when I saw it but never heard of the brand.
Looked up a few reviews that were pretty complementary so I decided to take a chance on it.

Pretty solid all around, decent pickups, a 50's style neck that is actually slightly larger than my Junior. It shipped with 8-41 strings which I thought was funny since the co. is called 10s. Once i actually put on 10's it played great. Did a quick setup and took it to a 2hr rehearsal and it was excellent. Finish is kind of a funky relic that looks a bit like they expect you to do the final finishing yourself lol. So I spent some time and I wet-sanded the back and the neck and buffed them up a bit, feels nicely broken in and blended the deeper wear spots.

I've heard some great stories about this brand. I believe it's Chinese (Asian, for sure) but they try to make their take on the classical designs. Darrel Braun has one of their guitars and he seems pleased with it. Haven't tried one myself though.

Yes Chinese for sure. They are definitely guitar junkies.

Made a few mods and tweaks to get it up to speed.

I did a level from the 12th up, swapped out the short A2 mag for an SD A5 in the bridge pickup, put on a used Gibson Nashville bridge, wet sanded and lightly buffed out the top, used some crusty screws in the pup surrounds to match the relic'd look and put on an old school Ibanez flat top switch tip.

in the first pic the cutaway looks weird, it looks equally weird in the post 5 pic but i think i like it. thats some serious greening goin on. seems like its a cheapie that kicks some ass

Needs some tweaking but so far I think it is a good amount of guitar for the coin.

Love the look of it and it’s a lot of fun. Reminds me of 70’s MIJ copies in all the good ways.
