That I do not know. Haven't researched it too deeply yet. I know Ibby was making some 27 Fret RG Models I've last few years.

The bridge pickup looks like a D-Activator X.

I'm not really sure on the pickups...def not stock and they don't sound like the D-Activators that were in the ICT700; much more full/classic sounding so I've been on DiMarzio trying to ID them. D-Activator X has two bars so there are only two models with this one bar/one screw set up.

Oops, that's right.

I'll have to research the MegaDrive...and maybe pull 'em out to see what they are. ;) In researching, body is pretty much a BCR Stealth Copy or Jackson Warrior. Glad this one does not have the extreme beveling that came later on.

Re: NGD: 2007 Ibanez XPT700

I know you joke but I've almost clocked myself with the long lower bout a couple times adjusting the trem and flipping it front to back.

At a rehearsal many moons ago my bass player at the time stabbed himself in the junk with the lower horn of his Mockingbird. Many laughs were had by all. :chairfall
(except him)

OUCH!!! Not a place I'd want gouged with anything. ;) I've had an Explorer and a Firebird briefly but I have to admit this was a first for me.

LOL! Well, I was only half joking.. I too have experienced the downside to pointies at one time or another..

Im reading this and thinking, yeah except him.. Then I saw your finish.. haha.. No doubt.. both pain and embarrassment.

Re: NGD: 2007 Ibanez XPT700

Cool guitar! I am not crazy about to many pointies but that one is slick. I love the flip-flop green one they had

Thx! I don't usually like Explorer or Star Shapes but this one balanced well and is the same series as the ICT700 Iceman I have and very much liked. Yeah; those Chameleon Finished one were way cool.

Re: NGD: 2007 Ibanez XPT700

Locked down the Edge III as I'd rather this be a hard-tail. Got the action nice and low and it sounds great and plays just as nicely as the IBT700. Def. a good addition.
