NGD: Agile 3010.

I thought I was done buying guitars, but when I installed the "Whole Lotta's" on a customers Agile, I knew I had to have one. Ordered it the day I did the install. :)

Sorry for the crappy cell-phone pics. They don't do it's color justice. This may well be the nicest guitar I own. Definitely my instant favorite, and I'm not even an LP kinda guy. Amazing value for a $315 axe, with Grover tuners.

I might move the PG's over to this from the Cort. Then again, I'd kinda like to try some Seth's. Hmmm . . . :scratchch

P.S. The stock pickups actually sound pretty good.

Been thinking of grabbing one myself, If I can't catch a good deal on cyber monday or black friday on something I'm going to snag one, have the one I want all picked out....

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Which one? I liked the Goldtop, but since my wife was getting this for me as an early Christmas present, I let her pick the color. I'm happy with her choice.

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Since my friend had the blue Ken Smith 5 string I used to borrow I have grown to like blue guitars , which before were considered against the laws of nature in my circle of music morons. Nice look , should do well with some upgrades .

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Killer. I saw they are discontinuing the 2000 line. Couldn't keep making them at that price point I guess.

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Artie, you need one with Seths, one with PG's AND one with WLH's….

Sweet ride bro!

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Agile makes a number of nice L.P. style guitars with P-90's. I have a pair of Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups sitting in my parts drawer for a few years now. I just haven't been able to pull the trigger on a P-90 equipped guitar. Maybe a few months into the new year I might be able to swing it.

But I LOVE blue guitars. My first LP was a special run for Mars Music. They were Blue Quilt top Epiphones with black hardware. I can pick one out when I see one, but I've only ever seen one other. Man I miss that guitar. So congrats on yours. If things went the right way, I would grab one of those. But again, life gets in the way.

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Now I'm jonesing for a blue les paul

I think cream pickup surrounds would set it off

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Nice! I've had two agiles, a 3100 and a 3000M. Both were good. One ended up with MetalManiac (do you still have it, man?), one got sold to a guitar center where some jacka$s dropped it and her headstock popped off.
They were good guitars but the upper frets bug me, and they were heavy! Better for the money than epiphones IMO, IF you can get past the stubby lower horn :)

Great color choice!!!

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

Definitely a guitar worthy of Seth's.

One weak link on Agiles is that on most models they use the 'mystery box' type of 3-way switch, and you're better off replacing that with a more reliable regular 3-way toggle.

Was that $315 new?

I know someone who can cover that. ;)

Yes. I also ordered the very nice gig bag. (CNB EGB 1600 - $24.95.) Great bag. Sturdy with lots 'o pockets.

Shipping was $25, so $365 "out the door".

The case was worth it. ;)

Re: NGD: Agile 3010.

I think it looks great. I even like the abalone.
