This all started with an innocent browsing session on ebay. The guitar in question was located in wales, god knows how many f*****n' miles away from me as a collect only. I put a bid on it, and as fortune would have it....

I got this guitar for....

an amazing.....

£30

before delivery....

The guitar nearly didn't get here at all. the original arrangement was that I was arranging a courier to pick up the parcel and deliver it to me, and my crap sense of knowledge meant me trying to organise it through a website.... which then wouldn;t take the parcel.... anyways, I got upset and frustrated but then remembered my humble Uncle Funkfingers who lived in Pembrokeshire!!! same county where the guitar was located.

Funk then collected the guitar and shipped it to me, without him, I'd be up dee Crapper.

So many thanks to Funkfingers!!!! :friday: (I also need a paypal address so i can pay for the delivery but if he don't hurry up it will be a free delivery for me.... : private: )

Anyways, so you don't get totally Iceman'd here are some pics... albeit crap cause it is midnight gone here and it is raining outside!!!

Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, the headstock got a split on the pointy bit, My dad has taken care of that and used some wood glue and a little black gloss paint to cover it up, he will dull down the gloss tomorrow to help it fit in with the finish. either way, good repair and this pic gives it no justice.

I have plugged it in the Blackstar and lets say.....

PHWOARYA B*****D!!!!

it rocks it's arse off, those pickups are pretty damn straight. the only thing that really needs sorting out is a decent capcitor which seems to be semi life expired and it's not helping the sound at all, so that is an easy fix.

It plays really well and balances really well, I tried one of these about 18 months ago in the local shop and it was in a much scruffier tatty state for £135. I loved that one and I wanted one deep down and now I have one. It has a coil split/tap/ whatever the hell you call it, on the bridge pup but not on the neck... so that may be the next thing, seeing if it coil taps the neck on the same switch or whether its worth employing a push pull for the neck. the split sounds are also mega awesome.

There is only one little nag with this thing and that the Low E string....

it keeps buzzing on the first fret. it is p****** me off to the hills. I have adjusted the string heights on the TOM-alike as the actions was a little too low for my taste but it keeps buzzing :dunno: could it be a high fret?? only thing I could possibly think is that the nut is cut too low on the E string. and since I use 11-49's by D'addario, the situation won't be helped when I change the strings....

But yeah as a whole, well worth it, even with delivery it is £55, nice bargain for me!!! best thing to happen the last two weeks this. I am now completely unemployed again, have health issues due to stress and anxiety and have no income, so yeah life is crap right now but this sure is a booster!

Oi I'll 'ave ya kno that two of those guitars are squiers. The first squier is my original one from Xmas 2007, the sunburst strat so she can't be counted. The other squier is the squier 51 which I rescued from the pawn shop and still yet haven't sold but im keeping it for now. Other guitars I love the way they feel and play ;)

Remind me to toss in a .022 when I ship your pickup... and I get dibs on those stock pickups if you decide to pull them. :D

I hate the brand name "Vintage" because I always see threads and get excited, for little reason:

NGD: Vintage Les Paul
NGD: Vintage Telecaster
NGD: Vintage Metal Axe

I agree, though it was hilarious telling people that I got a Vintage SG for £70.

Yeah I got the same effect originally with my mates when I said I had a Vintage Les Paul for £235.

£70 for an SG is sweet though!
