Re: NGD: Heritage
Oh I'll sell it if the price is right but not for now (I'm surprised Brent didn't chime in actually). I had a late 80's Heritage LP that was a monster guitar but weighed a ton. Always wished I'd kept it since I didn't think I'd get another Heritage any time soon but the weight was a bummer, I never really felt comfortable with it nice as it was.
So the killswitch will be removed asap, I must've turned the damn thing off every time I went to change pickups, PITA! It's a good idea with horrible placement. The input jack needs a cleaning, I didn't notice at the house but moving around it was cutting out. I am sure it is just oxidation since the guitar was sitting a while. I need to clean the case out, it's a little moldy/musty smelling.
The armrest was held on with 2 little brackets to keep it off the body. The 2 small holes for it are on the side and go thru the binding. I am thinking I can get that patched up pretty easily with some side marker dots and a little lacquer.
The skinny neck which I wasn't sure about is fine. Sitting down it bothered me a little, once I had it on the strap it wasn't an issue. It is a decent weight even though it is a thinner (and slightly smaller) body than an LP but hangs really well and was more than comfortable. It'll take a little getting used to but that's all right I kind of really like this thing. Cleaned it up nice and put on a set of Roto Nickel 11's put on some straplocks and it was more than good to go.
Kind of cool bonus - pretty sure this was originally sold thru my friend's old shop when they were Heritage dealers. So it's a little bit of full circle kind of thing
My original Heritage back in the day.
