Re: NGD incoming: squier jazzmaster
This is my second indonesian squier and they are not on par with China. I wish mine was made in China but oh well
I looked long at the Mascis JM but honestly I loved the sonic blue color, wanted low output pickups, and wanted to really see what the vintage bridge is like. The Squier JM is the closest thing to vintage until you hit the AVRI line. I find the Mascis pickguard gaudy, sorry
The dang CIJ ones I found out use (somewhat lame) strat pickups in a JM pickup cover/housing and 250K pots...surprising.
Those Japanese are often quite fanatical about guitars, especially offset ones, it's strange that they can't set up tooling to make even crappy but real JM pickups or even use duncan designed ones like Squier!
I can't put my new guitar down though. Played my strat for 30 minutes yesterday, played the jazzmaster for probably 3 hours.
Played the Jazzmaster for an hour tonight to0, after I got home from work.
Haven't touched my agile since I got the JM.
