NGD: No Tease This Time.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

Noice.

How's the neck profile on that thing?

'59ish.

It's not as beefy as the '59 carve on my ES-339, but it's notably thicker than the more '60s-ish neck on my SG Classic.

It seems to taper a bit more toward the nut than the neck on the 339 too.

Shape-wise it's a nice round-back that starts as a C at the nut and widens to more of a U by the neck joint.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

That's a real nice burst, looks like a newer and shiny version of mine! . Sounds like it ticks all the boxes for you too which is the main thing. Nice one.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

I ordered a BroBucker and a Seth neck for this bad boy. The pickups in it aren't bad but I need a little more output and they're unpotted, which doesn't work for me.

The Bro seemed like a great choice for an LP, so I took a leap. I've never had one before.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

ooooooooo purty.

i would not put a pickguard on that. don't cover up a figured top.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

On LP's with more "traditional-looking" finishes like this one, I actually prefer it to have the standard Les Paul pickguard.

Bold, brightly-coloured, or more exotic finishes: no pickguard.

Aren't Seths unpotted?

I agree with the no pickguard crowd. Ultimately I don't give a **** though. It's an awesome guitar either way.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

I put the pick guard back on. It looks mo classy that way.

Yeah, Seths are unpotted. I ordered a potted one though.

Re: NGD: No Tease This Time.

So you have a 339 and a Les Paul Trad.... considering I have exactly those 2 guitars with me at every show, I gotta say... I dig your taste in guitars.
