NGD: Samick Strat copy with a story.

So I was in a recycling centre, and I was looking through all the junk that they had on sale, and when I came to the guitar section, I saw what I thought was a Fender at first but then I read the headstock and it said "Samick" and I asked what the lady wanted for it, she told me $20 because it wasn't working, but when I took the guitar to the shop to get it restrung, I tested it out on the amps in there and surely enough, it was working! So I scored the find of a lifetime for a 1994 MIK Samick Strat copy. The action is sky high and it needs a truss rod adjustment, but it plays and sounds awesome.

Guy on a Japanese guitars Facebook group said it was worth between $100-150 now

Yeah you scored bro but how are the tuners, bridge and saddles? That's where the extra coin will come in.

The tuners are garbage, the bridge I haven't whammy barred yet but the saddles are easy to adjust. The tuners have surface rust on them.

Interesting project fodder.

As ever, the downside to apparent bargains such as the Samick is that it is easy to spend far more on hardware and electronic upgrades than the guitar will ever be worth.
