NGD, something pointy

Re: NGD, something pointy

I was just telling my wife that it is one of the few guitars that I have ever bought that I didn't feel the desire to mod. The other was my old Carvin V-220. Don't know much about the Schecter V but I have a baritone Blackjack that is just fantastic. The only thing I did to that one was swap magnets in the stock JB/59 set.

Re: NGD, something pointy

Messed around with the pickup heights. Raised the neck and the bridge by about a half turn. The bridge is about 1/8th off the strings and the neck is about 3/16th. The thing sounded good before, now, wow!

Re: NGD, something pointy

Congrats! Those are great guitars for the money.

I used to have a black VBT700, but traded it off last year. Part of me misses it, but not much since I have three King Vs to scratch that itch.

Re: NGD, something pointy

I bet those Kings are nice.
Here are more family pics. Just got the Orange one back up and running.

Loving those D-Activators in the V.

Re: NGD, something pointy

Very nice! What is it exactly? I'll have to try one out if I see one. I think I haven't ever tried an Ibby out that wasn't an RG.

I've been interested in D-Activators, but I'm satisfied with what I have and I'm not interested in getting a new guitar.

Re: NGD, something pointy

Loving the D-Activators but I have an X2N coming soon that I may stick in the bridge. Just because.
