NGD - well more of three forces combining to create an extraordinary guitar

Without further ado sgP90.jpg I bought the SG G-400 on reverb for $150. Then I bought a P90-3b on ebay for $42.50. Then I watched and waited and finally got the P90-1n. Got it all put together this evening and it sounds like a dream the neck is a bit strange or different would be a better word. I'm continually finding myself further down the neck than I expect to be. Just a worthwhile adjustment period required for the magnificent tone of the sound that I have just found in a couple of hours. The other adjustment is letting go of the neck and it takes a nose dive have to figure something out there. Any body know why the front strap connect to the back of the neck instead of the horn?

Just change the strap button to the horn to cure the neck dive. Otherwise, nice axe!

Sg's have always connected the strap to the neck.....since day 1.

Buy a good leather strap and you're partway there......but the Grovers won't help either.

Suede works well too. And yes there is enough wood there. That's where Iommi has his strap buttons at.

Depending on how neck heavy it is, replacing the Grovers with a set of Gotoh klusons (might need conversion bushings) may be enough to fix it. As a bonus you'll have a much better set of tuners as well.
