NGD - Yamaha Pacifica

I bought this Pacifica Sunday off CL for $75. Overall it was in very good condition with only light scratches and missing the truss rod cover and control cover. I replaced the pickups with a Dean Time Capsule bridge (courtesy of Master C) with A8 magnet and a Dimarzio Breed (courtesy of Jerry) with A4 magnet. I would like to replace the black rings and switch tip with chrome. Otherwise it's already one of my best playing and sounding guitars.

I found a set in my parts drawer. That leaves a silver switch tip and and rings. Also for some reason they had a black football jack that I replaced with chrome.

Suweeet! Nice deal too. Yamaha's, like Peavey's, tend to fly under the radar, so to speak. I don't know why that is. Killer guitars. And an amazing music company too.

I kinda like their bikes, too.

Solid instruments for not a lot of money. Even the "beginner" models are well put together. What more do ya want?

Cool pickup upgrades. Pots, switch, jack and machineheads may be next.

I replaced the volume with a 500K because it was a 250K pot. I'm not sure why they put 250K pots in a double humbucker guitar? The tuners are good quality.

Pacificas are nice guitars
I had one recently and it was solid
nice axe
but for some reason it just didnt inspire me
so I swapped it for something that did

a good player is always a gift what ever the cost
