NEW GUITAR KIT DAY!

Man-in-the-Moon and I were building the same kit. He had some issues with the neck pocket, luckilly, I did not. Finished this last night, set it up this morning and the owner just picked it up. I thought it turned out ok. Wood didn't want to take finish the same all over...even after tons of sanding.

He was very happy..so, I am too.

All I know is who I got it from on Ebay. No name on boxes and no instructions.

No matter how i look at it, i keep seeing that eye on the back.

I like how the guitar looks ... kinda rustic but somehow comfortable, like an old pair of jeans. I suspect it has a nice feel to it.

Looks cool. It's refreshing to see builds that are not superstrats.

I kind of see it with nickel covers and a black 3 ply pickguard if it were mine.

I kind of see it with nickel covers and a black 3 ply pickguard if it were mine.

I bought it for myself, but before I even started a friend said he would buy it after I built it. He made the pickguard, truss rod cover and control cover from diamond plate. so I didn't have a lot of choice. Thank you.

nice explorer dave, ugly ass pick guard though. I dont see any issues with the finish. Since someone asked about their valve jnr, I know we traded guitars a bunch of times...you still got anything that used to be mine?

I got my Explorer kit this past week. Waiting on my hardware to get here before I start. I'll post pix eventually, but I think I'm going to have mine finished in a blue burst.

I don't think so. I kinda' clean house every once in a while and move stuff around. I like to keep guitars in motion.

Sweet looking axe! Can't say I'm a fan of the metal grating pickguard, but each to their own.
