I had the same issue @ guitar center last year with a Les Paul, they listed it at $200 off on their website but when I went to the store it was only on one finish. After letting them know I wanted one in a different color but didn't want to pay the full price they gave me the one I wanted for the sale price.

I don't think the CEO was expecting my email. I went to a marketing database I use for email blasts at work. I pulled emails for all of the MF executives and all of the Managing Directors, Board Members and Partners for Ares Management, the investment company that owns MF and Guitar Center. I made sure they could see they were all CC'ed. Like I said my phone range pretty quick. I am sure the phrase "why is this idiot emailing me" was said multiple times.

Now that issue has been resolved and the buyer has been compensated with the gear he covets, shouldn't this thread be nuked?

Not until it is in my hands and I know it is a real B. C. Rich and not something produced in the Chibson factory you work in.

Nice. That'd be a sweet looking and sounding guitar with some WLH's in there. I love the finish. I'm glad that all worked out.

The bassist for my band is a fishing guide and last year he had a client with an 8 figure income ask for $50 off of a $500 fishing trip because he was bringing his own lunch. Sounds like the same kind of guy!

My sister argued with me about 38 cents on a bill when she was buying dinner WTF ? You don't get rich by spending money kids and you surely won't stay rich if you do. Just saying there is some reasoning going on with not parting with cash. We are waiting for the pics !!!

Both the Trans Red and the Black have alternately been SDOTD guitars recently. I think that's where the glitch happened. Now they both seem bumped up to $799 after your call. Thanks buddy. :doh::raincloud

I had a similar model of that guitar sans floyd...classic x? Or something like that. Good guit for the $, played great, nice F&F, but I just couldn't get used to the (lack of) balance. I had an early 80s USA Bich once, and also a MIJ Warlock with the same issue. Its not neck dive, it's way too much ass end pulling towards the ground. Great stuff otherwise.

They also fixed the site so the product description changes when you bounce from the red to the black. I am going to try my hardest to wait until Christmas before opening this box. It was a gift from the wife after all.

Had a similar problem with them years ago. They were advertising an Epi Junior for something like $110 ( I forget the exact amout). The guitar they had pictured had a set neck and a single P 90, what they shipped me was the bolt-on single humbucker version, and it was by far the very worst guitar I ever tried to play, INCLUDING those cheapie POS guitars they used to make in the 70's and 80's.

Needless to say I was not happy, but they took it back no problem. It was supposed to be for my nephew, I ended up getting him a Squire Strat with 2 humbuckers. Far better guitar.

This thread has been a public service. It should never be nuked. (Though sometimes I wish thread owners could nuke certain posts or posters.)
