Re: Nik Huber Guitars....
Ah, I was alerted to this post by my good friend BTMN....
I've been a friend, and a fan, of Nik's work for over 3 years now. Far and away, IMO, one of the top 3 builders out there today.
I also run the Nik Huber fan club, which is fully supported by Nik.

There are several places in the US to get the guitars. Willcutts, of course-he just became a dealer a few months ago.
There's also Marc's Guitar Shop, a great guy and a fine dealer-

You can also talk to Cliff at

There is also another dealer opening up in the Pacific Northwest, and one in the New England area.
I field phone calls and emails on a weekly basis from people that contact me through The Gear Page or the Huber Fan Club wanting to know what options are available, what can they get, where the best place to buy is, etc.
Here's 2 of mine (with a GMP thrown in the mix). I have another 4 that will be coming over the next year:
I'd be happy to answer any and all questions about these.
For starters-these use Harry Haussel pickups almost exclusively-there is no need to ever change them out. They are custom wound for each guitar depending on the wood the guitar is made of, chambering, etc, and they sound incredible.
The Orca model I have was the first one made with a 1 piece Eastern old growth top. It also sports a 1 piece Korina body, with the fatback option.
I owned a Monaco Elite when they first came out-the two guitars, honestly, are not in the same ballpark. These Nik Hubers absolutely crush everything else I've owned: Bakers, ton's of custom built Hamers (I'm the guy that owns the Red Standard with the Floyd that was posted on this boards previously), BC Riches, Charvels, A few Les Pauls, among others.
The attention to detail that Nik puts into every guitar that leaves his shop is truly astounding-he's backed up nearly 16 months now, and he simply refuses to speed up and let quality suffer.
Have a good weekend, everybody!

BTW-XSSIVE, Cliff Cutreri is right in Smithtown-Grab his number off his website, tell him I sent you, and talk to him about thwm, also. He has several being built right now and on the way.
Also, the Orca may look like a knockoff-but the guitar neck joint is totally different than anything Gibson does. The scale length is also different than a Les Paul.
