Re: NJD

Next on my list is a bandsaw and thicknesser. Then thats pretty much all the machines i need to make electrics. :yourock:

This also means no more going to the wood working guild. Arrrgh that place has its good and bad days.

Re: NJD

Awesome score for $100 !

I spent a lot of time and money at CarbaTec when i built my LP, they have all the right stuff. I would drool at all the 'correct' tools and machinery whilst buying router bits. They even had some pieces of tonewoods available at the store i frequented.

With a machine to make your joints, will you ever get any work done ??

I planned down the edge on this slab of Australian Rose alder i have, Man this stuff is nice wood. And it performed a lot better in a ear to the wood tap test compared to the mahogany i have here. Looking forward to hearing it.

I think i will get more work done. With the machine doing the job for me it will open up time for important stuff like jointing.

Re: NJD

Nice! My jointer is from the 1960s. That's how far back in time you have to go here in the states to get a decent $100 jointer.
