It says it's made in Japan on the control plate, probably still has a commanding price.
Is that a 25.5" scale? The 24.75" scale is what I don't usually like about Gibson style guitars.
life would be bleak without any variety too.
There's still nothing like an LP. For some of us, no alternative can take their place.
Who needs a Les Paul or a PRS anyway? Strats are where it's at...
If you like to follow the crowd.

You can literally do anything you want to a Strat with ease.
Tell that to EVH.Except sound like a Les Paul.
Tell that to EVH.
Tell that to EVH.
So you have a clip of EVH with his strat and a LP with the same pickup in it and with the same amp settings??
Cos if you don't then there's no proof of this.
Please, explain what this means.
Thank you. My post was a little tongue in cheek. I know EVH didn't get his guitar to sound EXACTLY like a Les Paul, and nobody ever will. My point was, if you only had a SSS Strat and a LP Standard to play Van Halen songs with, and you wanted to sound as close to the recorded tone as you could (minus the vibrato use), you'd use the Les Paul, and not the Strat.EVH used Gibson humbuckers in his Strat...he wanted the Les Paul sound with a Strat vibrato

Yeah. And also, him selling it and advertising, makes it seem to the fans that I’m selling myself. They don’t know that I’m against it. They think that I’m out for the bucks. That’s not it at all. So it’s kind of a drag. There’s another guy too . . . . See, I’ve rewound my own pickups before, and a guy named Seymour Duncan – you probably know him – I I got pissed at him too. He called me up and said, “Can we use your name for a special pickup?” And I said no. Next time I pick up Guitar Player magazine, there’s a special Van Halen model customized Duncan pickup. So I called him up and said, “What the hell’s goin’ on?” So he stopped, finally. It’s just kind of weird, you know.
