Have you opened it up? Maybe there is an internal fuse seeing how it's a tube pedal and requires a higher current power supply. I would also check the power input jack to make sure it's ok and passing power. And maybe follow the power path, checking with a meter. Maybe see if anything looks toasted on the board inside. Don't know much about the pedal or what tubes it has, if they are flying lead types (soldered) or plug into sockets. But there isn't much to lose if it isn't working, could be simple like the jack, a fuse, tube, maybe the switch. Or something more complicated. If it's not worth trying to find a tech to mess with it, I'd open it up and either fix it or kill it forever. I'm not a tech but I often get lucky. If you are adept at all with electronics, give it a shot. I cant help much beyond that.

Solders what for a living? SMD components are a different world in comparison to discreet and requires even more specialized tools.
got pics of the tubes? I saw some pictures and doesnt seem thats normal. I'd expect some silicone maybe to help with it rattling...hrmmm

Saw a video on the Demonizer. Tubes look easily replaceable. May be some silicone to deal with but they look like they just plug into sockets otherwise. The board is another matter. Combination of surface mount and through hole. But mostly surface mount. Womanizer is probably very similar.
My understanding is that Damage Control is now Strymon. Maybe Strymon would fix it? ...

And yes, might be silicone holding the tubes in place. That would make a lot more sense.
He solders SMD components with at a big fancy workstation. Works for a company that designs and builds custom circuitry. So he's probably more qualified to fix it than I.

My buddy plugged it into his work station, and the circuit breaker kicked in. Said theres nothing happening on the PCB that could visually clue him in. Pedal ended up in the garbage, save for knobs, pots, tubes and transformer for future pedal projects.
