How could you say no? I ended up with the one in the back, only it and the black one were still available when I got to the shop.

Re: No will power

nice looking

what are they?

Schecter prototypes

I'm going to need a bigsby on it though, those other ones look so damn sexy. The amazing thing is that it's real flamed maple, it goes the full thickness of the F hole.

You got a sweet deal none the less. I love my Schecter. It's been the only guitar I've played for almost 2 months now.

Re: No will power

Is that the same model Robin Zander has been sporting in White? Then again his might be a 12 string too.

He had a signature Corsair, 335 style. The shop is calling this a mini-corsair, closer to a 339 size

Re: No will power

3 & 4 look like they have bigsby terms
That said 3 is my favorite . absent that one you got the next most sexy
A choice between 1 & 2 is a no brainer

They do, and three was my favorite in terms of appearance as well.

Re: No will power

Trust me, you got the best one, because it's the flametop with tuneomatic bridge.
I've had my share of these style guitars, and as alluring as Bigsby trems are, they usually end up less reliable because of tuning issues. Even set up right, they're more of a headache than a TOM tailpiece. Also, the string tension is different than your other guitars because of the longer length from tuner to Bigsby.

I would have picked the one you bought.

Re: No will power

Bigsby's are very reliable and stable, as long as you don't touch them.

I've got two guitars with Bigsby trems, and as cool as they look, I've never gigged with them because I can't deal with tuning issues. I love playing them and doing slight vibrato, but they've never left the house because I don't trust their tuning stability.

I always feel like they'd be the first guitars I'd sell.

Re: No will power

Why am I thinking Mr. Spock? No matter. Nice looking guitars, overall. Congrats.

I actually like the black one.

I wasn't against buying the black one, but it was a blacktop on a dark back, so I grabbed the other one first and fell for it.

As for the bigsby discussion, I'm debating that or a piezo bridge. It already has push-pull splits, piezo would make it a really versatile piece of gear.

Re: No will power

I had wanted a Godin semi (Montreal Premier) for a good while but it had to be black. I finally bought one, almost a year ago now. Black. But it's a transparent black. Almost looks brown in bright light.

Re: No will power

When I got my Epi
I wanted in turn
First a piezoelectric bridge, for the same reasons you do
All I could find were cheap looking , that faded

Then I wanted the fine tuner thing like the tp6 or the Schaller version
Looks cool, tuners work just fine , that faded

Bigsby simply the coolest looking thing ever
Notice Gearjoneser "would" sell his TWO , but hasn't
Cause there is just something so cool looking
Hasn't faded yet, but probably ain't gonna.

Bigsby will happen if I can get a vibramate to work with a B7. Piezo would be nice, but not sure how I would config the controls, especially with the splits. Locking tuners would be nice, but we'll see if I need them.

The only thing that I really need to address would be the pickups. The neck is pretty hot and the bridge is a little bright.
