Technically yesterday was the new pedal day. I've had the Fulltone '69 MkII for a few days comparing it with another fuzz, and decided yesterday that it was the one I wanted on my board. I'm a bit surprised that I have an all-Fulltone dirt section, but they're the ones that have delivered the tones I want so here we are.
The Giggity is the one that really impressed me, though. It showed up about 20 minutes before I had to leave for a rehearsal yesterday, so I plugged in briefly to get a feel for the controls and then headed out. Within a few minutes of tweaking at rehearsal I had it dialed in, and I must say it's a subtle but powerful little box. I have it last in my chain after everything else and use it as an EQ of sorts. We use in-ear monitors and right now I only have access to some basic dual driver units, so I always have to decide if I want my tone to be a little too bright or a little too dark in my ears. I was able to dial things in much more exactly with the Giggity, and it makes everything a bit smoother.
I am thinking about picking up a reverb pedal, but I'm not too concerned about it at this point. I was super happy with the tones coming out of my speakers last night.
