NPDIO

New Pedal Day IF ONLY

It is now approximately 4 weeks beyond the manufacturer's advertised lead time. With holidays and all that I understand. I am not even remotely worried or ticked off, and I certainly don't want them to rush and make any mistakes. You know, save the cold solder joints for someone else.

I'm just anxious to try my new pedal. EOS

Re: NPDIO

Go on. Name names.

Worst case scenario couldn't that work like sending a steak back for secret sauce?

The only thing I could possibly fault the manufacturer for is not having real time lead time updates in the purchasing area of his website.

I just hope I'm not disappointed in the pedal and a longer than the expected wait time won't really affect the level of satisfaction one way or the other.

The name will be revealed when I either like my new delay or not.

Re: NPDIO

It's a delay pedal? Looks like it's working already.

Re: NPDIO

Well, if it is a smaller brand and coming right from them, keep in mind NAMM is going on right now...pretty much all companies save the big guys SEEM to shut their doors during this time.

Re: NPDIO

NAAM is not the answer/reason/excuse here.

It is a small builder who has not grown to meet demand. He is apparently working on a more efficient building method.

My mistake was ordering from the manufacturer instead of one of his dealers, because the dealers probably get preferential treatment with regard to order fulfillment. And so it goes. A month has turned into two plus a few days.

No worries. I have five delays now.

Re: NPDIO

It almost came today. There was a box on my front porch. It was about the right size and weight. It was a coffee mug from a local radio station.

Re: NPDIO

Almost as many as Pigbacon. :D

The El Capistan is the only one I can use live. The others are either too noisy, too difficult to dial in, or too digital sounding. The Belle Epoch sounds amazing but I'm up poop creek without a paddle if I want to dial in an alternate setting for a different song.

One month has become sixty nine days, but who's counting?

If I don't like the new one I may sell one or two and get a Brigadier. I just want something easy to use for my small board. I've just about decided that the large board will probably never leave home again. It's just too much to haul around and tempt thieves with.

"You should never end a sentence with a preposition."
"I beg to differ. You are simply stating a grammatical myth concerning stranded prepositions that has been laid to rest for many years. Nevertheless, allow me to restate thusly: It's just too much to haul around and tempt thieves with, D_head."

When a Texan says he's going postal I get worried. #jokes!

That sucks. I hope it lives up to what you are hoping!

Re: NPDIO

Crap I ordered a (pretty darn expensive) phase shifter from Australia. The order/deposit was placed in May, paid in full in September and delivered in January. I was almost ready to write it off, when I arrived on the doorstep. Cool pedal though.

Wow ... nine months. That is insane!

I've only sent one email per delinquent month as I don't want the need to respond to emails slowing production. More solder + less keyboard = ship me my (insert profanity) pedal.

Re: NPDIO

I think we both need to follow the same advice and put both the El Cap and the Belle Epoch on our boards, along with a favorite switch. Three tape delay tones, all right there. :)

Re: NPDIO

I'm really not sure why I'm buying another delay when the El Cap suits me as well as it does. Unfortunately there is no room for the favorite switch on this board. It's eight pedals only including the tuner.
