Man I am totally gassing for the 2016 Firebird.....

They need to raise the price dammit, I need another guitar like I need another ******* ( )*( )

I never liked Firebirds, but the last couple years, Ive been warming up to them.. Esp like the Jackson ones with the pointy headstock Robbin C used to play..

As far as the price, just try to convince yourself that the price you saw was a sale price, the sale is over and now they are $10 k

They're cool and sound awesome - very Rolling Stones vintage rock.

They have two problems related to the neck, however.

1. Serious neck dive
2. The neck is thin and bends easy from where the body wings join, so if you are moving around at all, a guitar chord held out will go out of tune while it rings out.

I would be using that flexibility like a trem damn near all the time.

I'll have it soon enough if I know me, have to square a few things away first,

I had one with the antiquity 2... the 1 has polepieces if im not mistaken. sounded great, i was originally going to buy one of these instead of my les paul traditional but it wasn't in stock.

Duncan Firebird Ants are Antiquity IIs. The Duncan Antiquity mini hums are the "dual Melody Maker in a P-90 housing with exposed adjustment screws" - the type that went into Les Paul Deluxes. Different animal.

Ahh didn't realize that. That's what I have in the neck of my Bird knockoff haha never knew that was what it's called
