Is this one you made? Was the fb unfinished to start with?I used raw linseed oil on my '98 Fender American Std. Strat that's in my avatar. I first cleaned the fret board with soap & water. Then I applied ebony wood stain to give the FB an ebonized rosewood look. I did this a few times and let it soak over night. Then I brushed on raw linseed oil over the entire FB and let it sit overnight. I would wipe off the excess oil and re-apply another coat until the FB looked sealed. The results turned out very well and the FB looks and feels great.
