Ok, show us your girls...

2007 Fender MIM Tele. 500k pots, Duncan Quarter Pound in the bridge, GFS bigmouth in the neck. 3-way is wired to give me bridge, bridge tapped, neck. I use 10-46 gauge Ernie Ball Strings on her.

My Gretsch BST-1000, from 1979 I believe. Has a GFS Bigmouth bridge and Dream 90 neck, Schaller Roller Bridge. This morning I gave her a good cleaning (her fretboard was dirty as hell) and set her up with D'Addario 10-52's. Once spring rolls around she'll be getting a refinish, as well as a new pickguard. I've decided to make her a one pickup monster, leaving the Bigmouth in the bridge, and wiring up a coil split to it. She can be a tough one to get along with at times, but we always sort out our differences. She's been a nice little project that I hope to get finished within the next couple of years.

The phil_104 collection, as she stands today. I have not included pictures of 2 acoustics that are now ''retired'' to home use only.

200? Takamine G series

I have seen many electric guitars come and go. Took me about 9 years to find out what I dug in a guitar. The PRS is my soulmate. The Godin has many memories and stories in it, and is a great studio guitar. The Gibson is the homewrecker right now, but she is the best gibson I have played. The Takamine I got off a buddy of mine, who is a great bassist, and it sounds great.

Peace,
Phil

Re: Ok, show us your girls...

+1 on the sticky for an ongoing record of everyone's guitars.

-1 on general grumpiness.

Re: Ok, show us your girls...

This is the girl I'm currently in the honeymoon phase with. I think she's got nice curves and a sexy voice.

Re: Ok, show us your girls...

In order from left to right

00 Custom Plus - It's got a black set of Grovers, black Tone Pros bridge and tailpiece, older style silvertop knobs, CTS pots, SD Seth in the bridge and currently a 57 Classic in the neck, but I'm looking for an APII to go in the neck.

96 Classic - I've put a set of chrome Grovers on it, still waiting on a back ordered nickel/chrome ABR-1, CTS Pots, APII set in zebra.

03 Standard Premium Plus - CTS pots and a set of zebra APII's.

91 Studio Lite - There's been tons of crap nailed to this poor thing. CTS Pots, zebra APII set satin chrome Grovers, just drilled a set of dice my buddy brought me for knobs.

04 SG Standard - CTS Pots and 57 Classics, raised the action for slide

06 AM St. Tele - Waiting to fid a set of 5-2's or Muy Grandes

I need one of those stands. Acctually. I need a couple of them.

Re: Ok, show us your girls...

dsd1j hath arguably one of the choicest collections. That double cut LP gets me every time, love the tapered headstock too.

So, here's my comparatively spartan harem.

Admira Virtuoso classical. No idea of the year, these have no serial number; got it in 2000. Good guitar for the $$ - solid cedar top, laminated back/sides.

2000 Ibanez RG320QS. Removed tone pot. Modified pickups: bridge air buckered on both sides, flipped magnet for out of phase mix positions; neck air buckered on both sides, neck coil is a slug coil from an old INF2 I had lying around. Sticker on volume knob says 'shake well'.

2008ish Martin LX1. Solid top variant. Pretty good sound for a small box. Intonation is astoundingly good, even past the 12th fret - one of the main reasons I got it. Still would like a full size steel though.

My Navigator(mid eighties) Van Zandt blues pickups

Vash, am thinking about getting a set of VZ for a new strat - thinking about the V+ neck/middle, and blues in the neck. What's your thoughts on the Blues bridge? I was looking for something thicker, more muscular and middy than the usual tinny bridge sound.

And my contribution, called her Erica. '57 reissue in ice metallic blue, loaded with Kinman AVN Blues
