I have a One H stratocaster with stock pickup that I am wanting to replace. I play a solo gigs, no band, Clean amp, use delay, chorus, phaser, sometime light distortion with a blues driver. Type of music is rock, blues, country, i do not cover bands but think creed, Hank, Travis, What do you all recommend.

Welcome to the forum!

The main thing is that you probably don't want a high output pickup, and you probably want something that does clean to vintage-style gain really well. There are a handful of pickups that do that, so we'd also need to know if your current pickup is too bright, or dark, or mid-heavy to narrow the choices a bit.

Re: One H

It sounds like an A5 humbucker thing to me. My recommendation is Pearly Gates Plus (a Fender pickup made by Seymour Duncan), Screamin Demon or even a JB (the latter two are not high gain pickups, even if some guys use em for high gain sounds).

Re: One H

I really want to hear the amp, and what style music he does solo....

Re: One H

I use two amps but not at same time. 1 peavey classic 30 2 fender 1987 blues deville. The stock pickup on this and the volume pot were cheap, it is a squire. I ordered a new p'guard and when I change it out I will know exactly what kind it is. I have a lone star with pearly gates on board, and a strat with the jb jr already so I know what they are.. I saw on the web site the invader and also the distortion sd p'ups. The invader sounds full but the dist sounds like alot of high. I will need to carry full range because of the solo gigs,, The main reason I bought this guitar was the color, fiesta red which is the shade I call spaghettio .

Yes, we allow soundclips posted in threads that are used to demonstrate a point that the thread is about. However, if you just want to post clips for fun, we have a 'Tips & Clips' section.
