Opinion Needed on 2x12 Cab: Avatar Vintage or Earcandy?

I'm looking at upgrading my 2x12 cab and I am looking hard at both the Avatar Vintage and an Earcandy Buzzbomb. I can get into an Avatar for around $200 unloaded or $380 for the unloaded Buzzbomb. Is the extra $$$ for the Buzzbomb worth it?

I like earcandy. I have not played an avata but Earcandy's stuff is real high quality and better than most stock stuff

I've never played the avatar, but I love my Earcandy. I find that the earcandy cab cleanly and evenly disperses the sound, where as a lot of other closed-back cabinets I've used have been pretty beamy. It has a nice, tight low end to it...maybe not as huge as a 4X12 cab, but close. And not nearly as difficult to control, as far as volume goes.

Check out these cabs, Roberts a good guy, very friendly and easy to work with. He's got some great looking cabs, and he really knows his stuff.

I'd rather pay the same price your looking at for something custom than something stock. JMO

I haven't tried Ear Candy, but their cabs have numerous extra aesthetic features. I have an Avatar 2x12, and I like it a lot. They have been raising their prices every once in a while, and now they charge extra for Eminence speakers, but they are really cool to deal with. The guy I dealt with at Tru Tone was a total prick. He was totally rude, so I said, I think we should continue this at another time, and I never called him back.

Whoa, I've never had a bad experience with Robert, must have been a bad day or something (I'm not making excuses for him). Anyway, Avatar cabas good, I was just offering up an alternative.
