Opinions on JSX?

Maybe I've just got GAS, but that new Peavey amp for Joe Satriani sounds killer! I'm willing to unload my old bassman reissue to get it! Has anyone played it yet?

Yeah, I've played it. It's very nice. I like the XXX and the 5150II, but I thought this amp was just a lot nicer. Much more articulate than either amp. I like all three channels a lot, each for it's intended purpose. It has enough gain for me, but it doesn't have as much as say my Rectifier does. So, if you're looking that much gain, this isn't the amp for you. I heard that Peavey was going to start shipping soon, as in like the next couple of weeks, but MF isn't expecting to see it until mid june. I'm not sure what the story is. Don't unload your Bassman before you play it, it may not be right for you.

Musicians friend and AMs both have them in the new catalogs. Sounds like an awesome amp! I love my Ultra Plus and cant wait to try this one!

They need to make one in a combo amp for me and I would definitely pick it up.

Im sure they will.. Peavey always releases a head and then follows up with a combo...

personally, i wouldn't, i love the bassman RI.... but the JSX does look pretty vibey, though. I think it depends more on what sort of music you play.... they're pretty much on different ends of the spectrum, it seems to me.
