I do not like the white at all. I have 3 black Duncans minis, a red tortoise shell pickgk guard, & black knobs, that I want to swap.

What do you think?

I would either change the white to creme, or the white to black, with the black pickguard. Red tort on that sunburst wouldn't look that good, IMO.

Yeah, it's been a toss up between the red tort and black picguard.

First I'd try black knobs but leave the pickups the same, might help a bit.

To really answer your question, I do think the black\black\red tortoise combo would look better than it does now . looks pretty good in Strat dude's picture

Red tortoise pickguards look good with reddish rosewood fingerboard IMHO. On OP guitar I would go black pickguard, black or cream pickups and black or cream knobs.

Given a light neck and the flame, I think all black could be a great look for that one.
The present white doesn't really bother me. But black would be cooler.

It's definitely getting black knobs and I already have 3 black mini hums. The pickguard is all I'm really wondering about. I have both pickguards so I dont have to buy anything.

Red tort sometimes can work with a sunburst, but it depends very much on the particular tort and the particular sunburst.
IMO black is a sure thing.

For sure, I have 2 tort pickguards and one of them is definitely too bright.

I also don't have a problem with the way it looks as is. Because of the maple neck, I think the white looks ok.

But I also like the black look (with tort plate) as well. It's all a matter of PERSONAL preference, so I say go with your gut.

It's growing on me, and Im bogged down with health issues atm anyway. A day or so after I made this post I broke my L3 vertebrae again.
