Got the new speaker today just dropped it in and it ROCKS!! Get's no better in Customer Service that this as it took 1 DAY to get the replacement once they got back in the office.
The Speaker is the new ET-90 from WGS and so far looks like it was dead on what I wanted for this amp. I was looking to open the tone up make it sound less boxie and round it out when running the combo by itself. This speaker is a huge improvement over the stocker in that it is lighter, sounds bigger, fatter and is smoother. Drop it on my Blackstar 1/12 with the 70/Eighty and the little Zinky combo now sounds absolutely HUGE!

I'm also impressed with this new ET-90 WGS speaker it's a brand new model for them and I took Vaughn over there at his word on it being what I was looking for. Glad I did now and it's really NICE!
They are pretty tight lipped about it all at the request of the owner. From what I understand Dave the owner has a long road back from some type of a serious auto accident. This also makes getting this type CS over the holidays that much more impressive. Don't see customer service like this very often anymore I'm VERY impressed here.

Agreed! Kinda like it normally works well to listen to the guys at Duncan on picking up a set of pickups LOL. Just noticed the Celtic amps stuff in your sig for the first time. You happen to know ol Sam Timberlake here in Birmingham that does the Sam amps?

Seriously am loving what I am getting with this ET-90 as i got a chance to really put it through it's paces today.
Up to this point I have had the stock Zinky and Tonker Lite Eminence's, a Vin 30 and GTH30 Celestian, Retro and Vet 30 WGS before the ET-90 in this amp. The Retro was what I had been running and was going to order another one when I pulled both the Retro and the Vet out of the Zinky and my Blackstar cab for my Fender 2/12 to run under the Peavy Ultra head.
I hit the WGS forum before I placed the order and got hooked up with Vaughn, he is the one that suggested trying the ET-90.
This thing is just SO much bigger sounding in this amp than anything else I have had in it it's amazing! Honestly the Zinky combo on the open back Blackstar cab with a 70/Eighty suddenly sounds bigger than plugging into that old Fender 2/12 cab I have with the Retro and Vet 30's:eek2: !!
Can't wait till I can get this Velvet out next week on stage in a full band situation!
