i got a peavey cab model 412s the other day with head but noticed that the cab is 4 ohms and the speakers im wanting to put in there are 8 is there a way i can just convert it easily. it is an old cab and 2 speakers need to be replaced anyways and i was thinking something celestion or eminence texas heats or even both but want to be sure i wont kill them.i got a solid state crate head in the trade which is 4 ohm for a crate solid state combo a bandmate wanted.i play and like to record my bass fuzz tracks when making demos with a guitar amp and i figured it may hold up somewhat decent if i put some new speakers in that cab as well as my bassman cab. any suggestions???
