YUP, that is what it sounds to me too !
Just a re-packaged XXX.
For some reason, the Peavey marketing team thought if they made away with those sexy naked mudflap girls, they will sell better :doh:

I played one briefly at Guitar Sinner the other day... I only got a chance to try out the rhythm channel but it was pretty cool. It lent itself to a hard rock/metal sound, the bass was good, the mids seemed somewhat on the scoopy side even on 7, and the highs needed some taming, but otherwise a fun amp to play.

If it is just a XXX with EL's it probably has a bit more robust bias grid, that seems to be the XXX weak point when switching over. The XXX is a fantastic amp but like any of their amps I have used/owned the stock tubes generally suck monkey balls and you need to find what works for you.
I run a Windsor and I have to say the cab is pretty much a dud when new. Those speakers just fart out pretty quick, they get much better once they loosen up a bit but a heavy MDF cab is only going to get you so far. I shouldn't have sold my 412MS cabs they were far better.

If heard its a repackage XXX but it doesnt come with ELs. Its compatible with them..
