Re: Phred instruments
I hear ya on that...but I definitely don't have the cheddar to spend like that. I've always tried to find the best value for the money. The most important thing about my guitar is how easily it helps me represent myself as far as playability. Of course I want tone and options as well,I've always been a tone monster. I can get a lot from amplification...I want my guitar to be comparable to a perfectly set up skateboard or the smoothness of a fine tuned ride....with hot pickups. Balance I suppose. I'm just interested in the phred stuff for the on board effects loop. To be able to have certain things just on the amp loop, and certain things in a daisy chain from my guitar without getting all convoluted. Not at all saying I'm going to get one,or that it would be anything close to a langundoc, but the info on them sounds okay. But it's all been from the company, and of course there going to talk about it like its Jesus. I'd like to talk to someone who has one,or has played one to get an unbiased opinion.
It could be affordable and legit,or a expensive Chinese knockoff. I would just like some real info on it. Not from lot heads,or guitar snobs, but players who are serious about their set up,and don't have a fortune to spend either. I usually get to buy one "something" a year, around tax time. Be it a new guitar, amp,or some random smaller stuff. I've always traded away gear for other gear always becoming unsatisfied with whatever it is. Now I'm trying my best to buy permanent things that will always be with me. I've had a lot and a little at different times in life,I'm a little above zero now,and I want to make smart buys from here on out. But it has to fit my style,I'm not gonna buy a strat cause it's USA,or a twin reverb because it's the thing to have. Anyway, sorry for the rant, with all the info on the Internet,I can't find anything real on phred....but I'm curious
