Re: Pick-ups for maple body?
I had the same problem in a Carvin V220. Its a brite machine. Maple body, maple neck, ebony board, brass nut. I put a Tone zone in it cuz the TZ sounded huge and sometimes muddy in other guitars Ive used. It sounded thin and tinny.
So, I tried the CC for the fat mids. I love the C5, but figured the highs would be too much for the brite axe. HOWEVER, the CC didnt do it for me. So, popped in the A5 magnet and found a perfect match. C5 has great balance and its aggressive if you need it. Try the CC too.. let us know
