PickUp Dave Murray

Re: PickUp Dave Murray

Sounds good to me. That'll give you one heck of an arsenal to work with. :)

Re: PickUp Dave Murray

Ditto, not sure about the Floyd Rose PRO though but if it works for ya then go right ahead.

Up the Irons ;)

Re: PickUp Dave Murray

Well, two reasons both personal preference.
The first is that you'll probably need to route your Strat which is something I wouldn't want to do on a brand new USA Fender and two is about the PRO in particular:
"The Floyd Rose Pro Tremolo System is a low profile version of the Floyd Rose Original and has narrower string spacing. The Original Floyd Rose Tremolo string spacing is .420 inches and the Floyd Rose Pro strings spacing is .400 inches."

Personally I much more prefer the wider string spacing than the narrower one but again, this is a personal thing, if you better like that then go right ahead.

As for advice on a tremolo in general, you'll have to tell me what you want so I can be more specific on what I'd get.
(Again, what I'd get)

CheerS!

EDIT: Ah, I read your other thread, I think you got it ;)

I'm new for Guitar Customizing, this is the reason if I write all that i think to do until I'll do it!!!
Thanks for advice... When the original fender bridge rust I will change it with a floyd Rose... Ok? :D
P.S. What thread do you refer?

Re: PickUp Dave Murray

And here's a couple of clips of just Adrian playing with that setup

TX Specials in Action

and

Super Distortion

Adrian in a Dave thread :fingersx:

No complaint, like Reese's. :smokin:

Accturay, what are those chord shapes he's using in the NoTB intro? Can you make them out in the dark? And that single line riff in the chorus... he's strummming that, but bouncing off one string? 1:02 - 1:04 & 1:13 - 1:15. What is he exactly playing with both hands during that piece?

Re: PickUp Dave Murray

Don't mention it, glad I could be of help, I hope you'll get a lot of good Maiden tunes on that man ;)

Its just power chords...and hard to explain...its just alot of up-picking for the "main part" as the vid starts...pedal toning on the root and the upstroke hits the second and third note of the chord only.

the part at 42 seconds is the C power chord, and then dropping the first finger from the C root to C flat/Bsharp then back to C..then up to D

The part at 52 is just the D chord then dropping the 2nd and third notes of the chord to the barre and back to the norml shape real quick then single notes (a string) c c c c c cflat g (low e string)

its alot easier to just show ya..but i dont have a cam, LOL

Okay thanks, always called that 'dropped power' chord the "Malcolm Chord", cuz first learned it from Hells Bells :14: though sure it's been used by Hendrix and others before that...

Is the NoTB intro just two fingered 3rd, 4th & 5th diads?

That's a cool Strat he has in that vid, though the classic gear setup will always be from the Powerslave tour IMO, Dave on the Strat and Adrian with the Gold Top or Destroyer.:smokin:
