Hello everyone. The purpose of this thread is to inquire about which Seymour Duncan pickups would be most suitable for my purposes. The guitar in question is a PRS SE 245. Singlecut, dual humbuckers, stoptail, 24.5" scale, mahogany body, and rosewood fretboard. It is set up with 11-56 gauge strings in Drop C# (Drop D, half step down.) I'm running it through a Peavey 6505+ 1x12 amplifier. I am primarily a rhythm guitarist with plenty of power chords, palm muting, and chugging. My genre is among the lines of Hardcore Punk, Post Hardcore, Melodic Hardcore, Deathcore, and Metalcore. Examples of bands that are my influences include: Funeral for a Friend, Underoath, Escape the Fate, Bullet for my Valentine, and Rise Against. I was considering the Jazz/JB combo for their versatility but have read that the JB can be a hit and miss in Les Paul styled guitars and therefore I've become rather hesitant, skeptical, and indecisive. I look forward to your responses. Thank you very much for your assistance on this matter.
