Do pickup covers alter the tone on PG's? Any specific changes that anyone has heard?

Maybe a very slight loss in your highs but it's not something that I ever really notice.

To my ears it softens the attack and smooths out the pickup's upper end; it's not a huge difference by any means, but I can hear it every time- YMMV.

Do a search on the forum for loads of different opinions and answers...this comes up several times a year and always leads to guys debating it for days at a time...best bet is to pop on some covers and make up your own mind

It depends on the cover. If you're ordering it covered from Duncan, should be fine. If you're putting a non-Duncan cover, it may dull it quite bit, depending on who made it.
