Pickups For My New Agile Les Paul Copy

A good pickup that is “thick” that I can think of is the 59/custom, custom 5, and 59. Neck pickup is the standard stuff, jazz, 59, and sentient. If you wanted to go more metal I’d recommend maybe the Pegasus. I’m in a band that plays metalcore and pop punk and my Strat with a Pegasus can do wonders with both!

In my Agile AL3200 I have a Pegasus as well but that’s tuned to drop A. I really think you have a lot of options.

So far I’m leaning towards the Custom Bridge but I’m undecided on the neck still but I’m thinking the 59 might get the job done. I’m not all that worried about getting a super high output because I can supplement that with the amp and boosters if I need.

FWIW - 59n can have a little too much tubby bass in Les Paul-type guitars (depending on amp, it can either sound Fender-y or muddy). A Pearly Gates as suggested above would be more even and have similar treble to match the Custom, and still have some meat for single notes on the neck pickup. A Pearly Gates neck or Whole Lotta Humbucker neck are like 'improved' 59n.
