Re: Pickups for "Warlock"
I agree tell us about your gear and the guitar tones you're trying to emulate. The best thing to do is to plug into your favorite amp and see what the pickups are missing. There are a ton of charts online to really help us out too. Dimarzio or Seymour Duncan both have the EQ the pickups are tuned to, to really help. Same goes for string makers.
With my Bronze series warlock I found by the time I adjusted the bridge pickups pole pieces and installed a switch to bypass all the electronics the really high output pickups became far more useful. Their stock pickups if they just say BC Rich on them the uncovered ones are like 18.5-19k DC resistance each in the set and 10H of inductance. Both put together is a very high output pickup.
However before buying pickups a few things to try, this could save you some time or money. I'm not discouraging people from buying new pickups at all. I mean why would I be here. But this is some stuff to try.
adjusting the pole pieces on the pickups - it can brighten up a dark humbucker
adjusting the height - the closer they are to the strings the louder the pickup(s) will become
try different pick and or string materials. If it's got a floyd rose avoid pure nickel strings unless you want to re-adjust the floyd roses springs
if all of this fails, absolutely try a different set of pickups.
this is how to adjust pickup pole pieces, I send this video to a lot of people on here because it's something I wish I knew years ago
As for the wiring I'll help you draw out a diagram if you need
