Hey Guys,
I stumbled on a beautiful Jeff Beck Strat at a local store yesterday. I'm not a big strat fan, but this guitar was AMAZING. I loved the thick neck and overall playability of the guitar. The guitar even stayed in-tune after using the non-locking Tremolo! For those of you that aren't familiar with the guitar, it comes with Lace Sensors is H/S/S (the bridge can be split into a single as well). I plugged it into a 101B, but I couldn't really crank it (small store).
I have limited experience with active pups (I have an EMG 85/SA/SA in my Invader that I love). I know strats aren't really metal machines but would these pups be good for rock and metal? If not, are they a bitch to replace? Any general thoughtrs about the Lace Sensors?
Thanks
Paige
