The styles you quoted had me thinking Orange Rockerverb. You can score the 2x12 combo for cheap these days and it's a solid workhorse of an amp. I don't need another amp for any reason but I'd still like to own a first generation 6V6 Rockerverb 50 because they're such solid and flexible amps.

Your posts remind me of the **** i used to post on here when i was 15, and i mean that in a good way. I was into those styles too. I'm happy to offer advice where i can man.

That seems like something that would work for me, I don't know if I can afford the silver jubilee 2555x anymore because everytime I look for one the price is crawling up. I guess I'm gonna look for a mesa single rectifier and a rockerverb to try out and If I come across a silver jubilee I'll be sure to try it. Do you recommend the mk1 over the mk2?

I'm more into the Mk I because it's the original and it has 4 6V6 tubes instead of 2 EL34s for power. Honestly the differences in tone are negligible, i just like to invest in older, harder-to-find gear in case they ever become collectible...

Don't neglect checking out the stuff by Jet City. They have a 22 watt combo that sounds good and won't break the bank. Or a 50 watt head with a 2x12 cab that still comes in at about $500.

Hey all, I've looked into it. I won't be able to get a job for a few months, so I'm going to grab a jet city 50 watt 212 due to its versatility, affordability, and power) combo, until I can get a job.

I was just going to suggest Jet City amps. Great all-rounders. I've played their 50 watt head a lot and it's crazy good.
The local Jet City dealer also brings the much more expensive Hughes & Kettner amps, and playing them side by side I prefer the JCs by far.

Jet City is legit. That Hovercraft guy was selling them with like $20 worth of mods for three or four times the price.

No but i have the schematic for his mods and used Jet City amps are usually $200-$300.
