Mrs. BriGuy and I were talking just the other day about how sad it is that cool songs like "Christine Sixteen" have almost disappeared in today's society full of predator-phobes. People are just way too uptight anymore!

I remember when you almost pulled the trigger on the lower-end reissue a couple years ago. I thought you should have got it. Turns out you were wise to wait for the perfect guitar.

When people gripe about specific artist reissues or collectors' editions, they forget that there are dudes out there for whom these guits are like their platonic ideal of the guitar, and the reason they got into a lifetime of playing.

This is such a *****in' story to go with a *****in' guitar. Awesome. And what is it with country music dads and LP's? I only got to get a guitar on the condition that I learn (and play) "Ghost Riders In The Sky" for my dad (and he told me I did it wrong ) Also I was supposed to get one of those nice MIJ Squiers when they came out, until Dad found out they were Japanese and he freaked out in the store ("We DO NOT buy ANYTHING from Japan!!!") But for some reason the Korean Hondo LP was OK...
I definitely think the stars aligned for you on this axe, I hope you love it for a good long time. Just don't start shooting smoke bombs out of it, save that for a cheap Epi...

While I love me some SuperD, Evan, (who doesn't?) if there are specs or anything like that, a prototype, whatever - I have no problem with Zebra or whatever….

He was looking for standard off-the-shelf pickups. I can't recall with 100% certainty, but I think he was asking for an SH-5 in the bridge and I don't remember what in the neck and middle--maybe SH-1ns, but don't quote me on that.
